In an action to recover damages for personal injuries resulting from the medical malpractice of defendant, defendant appeals from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Morrison, J.), entered May 23, 1984, which found him liable and awarded damages to respondent, upon a jury verdict. Judgment modified, on the law, by vacating the award of damages. As so modified, judgment affirmed, without costs or disbursements, and matter remitted to the Supreme Court, Nassau County, for a new trial limited solely to the issue of damages.
